Curriculum Development, Chief Instructor
for S.E.I.G.E., Inc.
Internationally revered, Mr. Douglas
Marcaida’s extensive defense training
background has led him to serve as Chief
Instructor for S.E.I.G.E., Inc. Mr. Marcaida
specializes in instructing local and international
military units and law enforcement agencies
with specialized tactical, survival, and
defense tactics training programs.
Mr. Marcaida has trained several military
units, including the U.S. Marines and
Philippine’s Force Reconnaissance Battalion
in the Joint Interoperability Exercises.
Filipino President, Gloria Macapagal,
issued Mr. Marcaida a citation award for
his outstanding efforts in training military
combatives.
His military background is highlighted
by his role as a Senior Master Instructor
in Edge/Impact Strategic Weapons Combat
of the Pekiti Tirsia Kali System in the
Philippines. Born and raised in the Philippines,
he is well versed in several Filipino
Martial Arts systems and holds the high
rank of Mandala given to him by the Supreme
Grandmaster of the system, Grand Tuhon
Leo Gale Jr. In 2003, he was inducted
into the Kali Hall of Fame for his distinguished
skills in the Filipino Martial Arts.
Currently, he is responsible for all
tactical training curriculums and student
development for S.E.I.G.E., Inc.
Mr.
Marcaida is also a Strategic Edge/Impact
Weapons System Instructor, and has taught
internships for the following Philippine
law enforcement and military organizations:
Mr.
Marcaida also works heavily with the civilian
community and is the founder and chief instructor
for the Pekiti Tirsia Rochester Pitbulls.
The Pikiti Tirsia Pitbull Brotherhood is
a global organization with affiliates located
in: Detroit, San Francisco, New York, Florida,
Saskatchewan, and the Philippines, and serves
to promote the art of Pekiti Tirsia Kali.
